Castle: about 30 minutes. Forest: about 30–45 minutes.
Weather
The indoor Castle usually remains open. The outdoor Forest may close for unsafe weather. Unused weather-closure tickets remain valid for another operating night in the same season.
Accessibility
Both attractions offer accessible routes. Tell the ticket taker before entering.
Safety
Sheriff’s deputies, paramedics and staffed security are onsite every operating night.
No Bags or Recording
Bags, backpacks and purses cannot pass through security or be stored onsite. Photography and video are strictly prohibited inside both attractions.

Lights On Haunted Castle
Tour the Haunted Castle with the house lights on. Costumed scare actors are present, with reduced or no scares for a less-intense, all-ages experience.

Safe Trick or Treat
A free daytime Halloween event open to all ages, with costumes, candy and a friendlier side of the Haunted Castle & Black Forest tradition.

A Fort Wayne Halloween Tradition
The Haunted Castle & Black Forest has welcomed Fort Wayne families since 1980. St. Vincent Scouts Troop 2 and Venture Crew 2802 run the entire operation with Scout families and other Scouts from the local area.
Every ticket supports a Scout-built Fort Wayne tradition—and another season of leadership, service, memories and screams.

There is no set age restriction. Parents and guardians should decide whether the attractions are appropriate for their children.

Both haunts offer accessible routes. Tell the ticket taker before entering so staff can direct you to the appropriate areas.
What happens during bad weather?
The indoor Haunted Castle generally remains open. The outdoor Black Forest may close when conditions are unsafe. Tickets remain valid for another operating night in the same season if the event closes.
Can I bring a bag or purse?
No. Bags, backpacks and purses cannot pass through security, and staff cannot store them during your visit.
Are refunds available?
Tickets are nonrefundable. If the event closes because of weather, tickets may be used on another operating night during the current season.
Are strobe lights used?
Yes. Both attractions use strobe effects. Tell a staff member before entering if you have a medical condition affected by flashing lights.
